Pro-Palestine activists have smashed up a Labour HQ in Crouch End linked to Tottenham MP David Lammy. The early Wednesday graffiti attack has stirred fresh outrage around Lammy’s roles as Justice Secretary and Deputy Prime Minister.
Graffiti Slam Targets Lammy Over Palestine Hunger Strike
The activist group Shut The System claimed responsibility for spray-painting the Middle Lane building. Their slogans demanded justice for eight Palestine Action hunger strikers jailed nearby. The prisoners are staging a desperate hunger strike, pushing the government to act on their political demands.
- Protest media censorship
- Immediate bail for hunger strikers
- Fair trials for Palestine Action members
- De-proscription of Palestine Action as a terrorist group
- Shut down Elbit Systems, Israel’s top arms supplier
Palestine Action has been banned as a terrorist group by the UK government since July 2025.
Police Probe Vandalism, No Arrests So Far
The Metropolitan Police confirmed officers attended the scene but no one has been arrested yet. A spokesperson said: “An investigation is underway and enquiries continue. Anyone with information should call 101 quoting CAD 3165/17Dec.”
The vandalised HQ also doubles as a base for Hornsey and Friern Barnet Labour Party staff, tying the incident directly to local Labour.
Lammy Keeps Silent as Pressure Mounts
Lammy recently refused a plea from over 50 MPs to meet the hunger strikers. Lawyers warn that without urgent action from him, some prisoners could die.
Repeated attempts to get Lammy’s comments on the vandalism and hunger strike went unanswered.
