RSPCA Rescue Team Battles Frozen Lake to Save Trapped Canada Goose
The RSPCA pulled off a daring two-hour rescue mission after spotting a helpless Canada goose stuck fast on a frozen lake in Birmingham.

Rescuers discovered the bird unable to move its legs, trapped by frozen wings and thick ice. The Canada goose was immobilised, desperately needing help as freezing conditions threatened its survival.
Two Hours of Grit and Determination to Free Goose
The RSPCA team smashed through brutal ice layers for two relentless hours. Cara, an RSPCA Animal Rescue officer, said: “Another day, another rescue!” Their determination and bravery shone through as they battled the cold to save the trapped bird.
Thanks to their heroic efforts, the goose was freed and taken to recover safely, given a fighting chance after its icy ordeal.
