McDonald’s Goes Royal for Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
McDonald’s is pulling out all the stops to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. As proud partners of the Jubilee Pageant, they’re rolling out big changes to their classic menu and branding to mark Her Majesty’s 70 years on the throne.
Jingle Bells, Royal Style
The iconic “ba da ba ba ba” McDonald’s jingle has had a majestic makeover. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra – a 35-piece ensemble of brass, strings, percussion, and woodwind – re-recorded the famous tune to make it fit for a queen.
This regal remix will replace the classic jingle on TV and radio ads throughout the Jubilee weekend, accompanied by a cheeky new tagline: “one’s lovin’ it.”
Win a Fancy Platinum Jubilee China Set
McDonald’s is serving up some posh packaging. The Big Mac meal, including fries and milkshake, gets a Platinum Jubilee upgrade, styled as an elegant limited-edition china set with Pageant detailing.
- Only 70 sets available
- To enter, fans must use the McDonald’s App between May 31 and June 6
- Winners announced June 8
Quarter Pounder Gets a Royal Rename
For two days only, McDonald’s is renaming the beloved Quarter Pounder with Cheese the “Royale with Cheese.” The nod to the iconic Pulp Fiction line hits on June 2 and 3 and adds a cheeky royal twist to the classic burger.
Even better: you can grab the Royale with Cheese for just 99p via the McDonald’s App, saving a tasty £2.60.
More Deals to Celebrate
The party doesn’t stop there. Over the bank holiday weekend (June 4-5), McDonald’s is offering a Spend £15, Save £5 deal on all orders placed through their app. Perfect for feasting like royalty all weekend long!
