Woman assaulted and Push to ground in Racist Attack

Police are appealing for witnesses following an unprovoked assault on a woman in Portsmouth on Saturday (March 12). The incident happened in Kettering terrace, near the M275, some time between 8.45pm and 9.15pm. The 41-year-old victim had just got out of a blue Toyota Yaris when she was pushed from behind and fell to the ground.  While on the floor the victim was kicked and punched in her back and shoulder and was subjected to threatening racist abuse. She sustained a sprained shoulder in the attack. The man then ran off along Kettering Terrace, in the opposite direction of the M275.
