Two More Bodies Pulled from Camber Sands

Two more bodies have been found at Camber Sands, taking the number to five in a day of tragedy on the Sussex coast. Three others were pulled from the water this afternoon by emergency services and flown away but sadly died just after 2.15pm. The incident comes weeks after teenager died and two were left seriously injured in the same area. A search is continuing for a sixth person who has been reported missing on the same stretch of beach. A Spokesman for Sussex Police said ” Five people have sadly died after being pulled from the sea at Camber Sands. We are working with Maritime and Coastguard Agency, Royal National Lifeboat Institute, South East Coast Ambulance and Rother District Council to clear the beach and encourage people to come out of the sea while we are investigating this incident. We are also asking people to stay away from Camber for the afternoon and evening to assist emergency services in managing this incident.
