Fire Rips Through Southampton Home – Woman Hospitalised

Flames and thick smoke erupted from a terraced house on Tennyson Road, Southampton just after 8pm on Sunday. Firefighters raced to the scene and battled the blaze with two hose reels and three jets, tackling the fierce fire that gutted the ground floor.

Rescue Drama: Medical Oxygen Cylinders Removed

Crews also removed three medical oxygen cylinders from the property, ensuring safety. A woman in her 60s fled the burning home and was rushed to hospital for smoke inhalation treatment by South Central Ambulance Service.

Fire Investigated but No Suspicious Activity

The cause of the blaze is under investigation. Authorities confirmed the incident is not being treated as suspicious.

The operation involved two fire crews from St Mary’s and one from Hightown.
