Multi Vehicle Pile up on M27 Motorway in Hampshire

Emergency services are currently dealing with a multi vehicle pile up on the Westbound carriage of the M27 near Fareham between junction 11 and junction 10. The Collision happened just before 5pm this afternoon (Saturday December 17). Traffic is stationery on the all remaining lanes Westbound with queues being reported as far back to Junction 12 of the motorway. The collision is believed to involved a number of private cars and four motorcycles. One of the riders is being treated by Paramedics near to the central reservation. Two ambulances are at the scene and a rapid response paramedic. It is expected that closure will be removed by 8pm this evening. There are currently delays of 30 minutes in the area. UPDATE: All lanes reopened have reopened following earlier collision. The spillage and vehicles have been recovery but there are still, delays back to Junction 12. Approach with care.
