Cladding is set to be stripped from two Portsmouth tower blocks after tests revealed a serious fire hazard. Portsmouth City Council confirmed that Horatia House and Leamington House, both in Somerstown, will have their cladding removed following the tragic blaze in west London.

Samples from these blocks were among 600 tested nationwide by the Department for Communities and Local Government. Residents worried about safety are urged to call 023 9282 4244 or visit the Somerstown Hub housing office, open until 8pm tonight and from 8am to 5pm all weekend.
