Police Charge Serial Burglar Billy Collins with Shop Raids

Police have charged a Man following three burglaries from shops in Southampton, Havant, and Emsworth Police charged the 30 year-old man as part of our investigation into three burglaries from shops in Southampton, Havant, and Emsworth. between 03:00am and 04:00am the Co-Op store on Stoneham Way in Southampton was broken into and a till containing cash was taken. On Tuesday 15 August the Co-Op store on Southleigh Road in Emsworth was broken into shortly before 1am. A quantity of cigarettes was stolen. On Wednesday 16 August Booze ‘N’ More on Bedhampton Road in Havant was broken into at around 2:40am. Nothing was taken. 30 year-old Billy Collins of no fixed address, but who is from the Southampton area, has subsequently been charged with three offences of burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal. He was remanded in custody to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court on Wednesday 23 August where he was further remanded to appear at Southampton Crown Court on Monday 25 September.
