Huge Lorry Blaze Sparks Chaos on A34
A massive lorry fire has brought the A34 northbound to a standstill this morning. The blaze erupted around 7.30am near the Milton Interchange, triggering huge tailbacks all the way past the Chilton Interchange beyond East Ilsley.
Major Delays and Lane Closures
Both lanes heading north are currently closed, causing gridlock for miles. Traffic officers say lane two should reopen soon, but delays will continue.
No Injuries Reported
TVP Roads Policing tweeted: “We are on the A34 northbound at Milton, dealing with a lorry fire. No injuries.”
Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes or expect lengthy waits while emergency crews tackle the blaze.
