Police Appeal following fatal Collision at Deptford Bridge

Police were called to Deptford Bridge at 1.40pm on Tuesday, 31 October to reports of a road traffic collision. At the scene a Ford Focus had been in collision with a pedestrian. The male driver of the Ford Focus, believed to be in his 20s, was taken to a south London hospital by London Ambulance Service where he later died. Enquiries are underway to trace next of kin. We await formal identification. The female pedestrian was taken to hospital by LAS where her condition is described as stable and non life threatening. Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit investigate. A scene and road closures remain in place. Road users are advised to avoid the area where possible. Anyone who witnessed this incident should call the Serious Collision Investigation unit on 101.
