Tragedy at Deptford Bridge: Driver Dies After Pedestrian Crash
Emergency services rushed to Deptford Bridge at 1.40pm on Tuesday, 31 October following a serious road traffic collision. A Ford Focus collided with a pedestrian, leaving chaos on the scene.
Driver Dies, Pedestrian Stable
The male driver, believed to be in his 20s, was rushed to a south London hospital by the London Ambulance Service. Unfortunately, he later died. Police are now working to trace his next of kin. Formal identification is pending.
The female pedestrian was also taken to hospital, where her condition is stable and non-life-threatening.
Investigation Underway, Road Closures in Place
The Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is leading the probe. The crash scene remains cordoned off with road closures still affecting the area.
