Man Dies After Savage Street Beating in Ilford
A brutal murder investigation is underway in Ilford after a man was violently attacked by a gang in the early hours of Sunday, 12 November. The victim, believed to be in his twenties, was found critically injured at the High Road junction with Connaught Road at 2:48am.
Ferocious Attack with Baseball Bats
Police and London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene following reports of a fight. Despite being rushed to an east London hospital, the man tragically died at 4:35am. Detectives say the victim was savagely beaten by a group of up to five suspects wielding baseball bats and other weapons.
Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Packer, leading the Homicide and Major Crime Command, urged anyone near Ilford High Road around the time of the attack to come forward. He said: “This was a brutal and prolonged attack. We need witnesses or anyone with footage from the scene to contact us urgently.”

No Arrests Yet – Police Continue Enquiries
No arrests have been made so far. Officers are maintaining a crime scene at the location as they piece together what happened. A post-mortem examination is planned to confirm the cause of death.
