Two Arrested After Teen Dies in Brutal Portsmouth Attack

Police have arrested two men following the death of an 18-year-old in Portsmouth in the early hours today. Officers were called at 2.18am to a flat in Oldbury House, Sackville Street, Somerstown, after reports of a seriously injured man.

Teen Brutally Attacked Before Death

The victim had reportedly been savagely attacked earlier on Guildford Road, Fratton. He was rushed to Queen Alexandra Hospital with severe injuries but sadly died later.

Two Men Held on Suspicion of Murder

A 28-year-old and a 32-year-old, both from Portsmouth, were arrested on suspicion of murder. They remain in police custody at Portsmouth Central.

Police Urge Public to Come Forward

Chief Inspector Marcus Cator said, “We understand the community will be concerned about the incident in the city overnight in which a young man lost his life. Detectives are working hard to establish the circumstances and have since made two arrests.”

“Officers will maintain a strong presence around Fratton and Southsea this weekend to carry out enquiries and listen to concerns. If you have any information or worries, please contact us.”
