Drunk Driver Mows Down Woman in Hillingdon Car Park

A 64-year-old woman has died after being hit by a car driven by an elderly man in a supermarket car park in Hillingdon. The shocking crash happened at Sainsbury’s in Long Drive, Ruislip, on Saturday afternoon.

Tragic Crash at Sainsbury’s Car Park

Police were called to the scene at 1:15pm on 26 May after reports that a car had collided with two women. Officers found both injured, with the older woman rushed to hospital in critical condition.

Victim Dies Following Collision

Sadly, the 64-year-old woman died from her injuries the next morning. Her family have been informed. The second pedestrian, a woman in her fifties, escaped with minor injuries and was discharged from hospital.

86-Year-Old Driver Arrested but Released

The driver, an 86-year-old man, stayed at the scene to help police. He was arrested on suspicion of failing to provide a breath specimen but was later released under investigation following assessment at a police station.

Police Appeal for Witnesses
