Newport Roundabout Collision causes Bus Dirversions

Buses serving parts of Newport have been severely effected following a collision on the Watergate Roundabout in Newport. Southern Vectis have said that the Route 38 will be operating on time but will not be serving Whitepit Lane or Shide. Emergency services remain at the collision. A car has crashed into a sign post on Whitepit Lane in Newport this morning (Friday), resulting in the closure of the road. The black Jaguar ploughed into signage. The driver has been arrested as a result of the collision.
