Three Nabbed in Break-In at Queen Victoria’s Historic Norris Castle

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of burglary at Norris Castle, the former childhood home of Queen Victoria, Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed.

The dramatic arrest followed a tip-off from a vigilant member of the public who spotted suspicious activity on the castle grounds, currently undergoing a high-end renovation. The site is being transformed by developer Uavend into a luxury boutique hotel.

Swift Response After Break-In Report

Police were called at 10.23am on Saturday after a break-in was reported at the East Cowes property. A National Air Support helicopter, dog unit, and officers on foot swooped in and found the trio still on site.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “Officers responded promptly and arrested three men in the grounds. They remain in custody as investigations continue.”
