Isle of Wight Fire Crew Rescue Three Children Trapped on Ventnor Cliff Face

Firefighters from Shanklin been called to rescue three young children trapped on the cliff edge at St Boniface down
 on the outskirts of Ventnor on the Isle of Wight Crews were mobilised to Leesland Road just after 3.30pm on Tuesday afternoon.

In baking temperatures 
firefighters scaled the side of the face using a rope pulley system to rescue the three who become trapped after going out exploring. The rescue comes amid advice of staying safe during the summer break issued by the Isle of Wight council.
 The trio 11 and 13-year-olds were trapped and called home to their mum who contacted the fire service. [su_youtube url=”https:///www.youtube.com/watch?v=aj0IhQz5KfM”] It took some time for crews to reach the stranded trio who took the rescue in their stride.
 Watch Manager Steve Chapman from Isle of Wight fire and rescue service said that firefighters had to free climb to access those trapped once they had access to the children the rescue is something that they practise on a regular basis.
