Thanet Woman Faces Fraud Charges Over Fake Cancer Donations

A Thanet woman has been hit with fraud charges after allegedly pocketing £45,350 in donations for a fake illness.

Nicole Elkabbass Faked Cancer to Drain Public Funds

Nicole Elkabbass, 40, from Edge End Road, is accused of falsely claiming she needed cancer treatment to swindle money from kind-hearted donors. Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate launched an investigation that uncovered six counts of fraud against her.

Court Date Set for Alleged Scam Artist

The alleged deception took place between January and August 2018. Elkabbass was officially charged on Friday, 5 April, and will face Margate magistrates on Thursday, 2 May.
