Manhunt Underway After Moped Rider Stabs Ecuadorian Restaurant Owner to Death

A major manhunt is in full swing after a brutal stabbing outside Rincon Costeno in South East London. The victim, a 23-year-old Ecuadorian restaurant owner named Migo “Ian” KuKu, was attacked by a moped-riding assailant in front of hundreds of shocked onlookers.

Deadly Attack in Broad Daylight

The horrific crime happened at 7.46pm on Tuesday, 14 December on Hampton Street, SE1. Police and medics, including the London Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene but could not save Migo, who was pronounced dead on arrival.

Friends Pay Heartbreaking Tribute

Friends describe Migo as a brother and “my right-hand man.” They revealed he had already lost a young friend in a similar violent way and that his parents had gifted him the restaurant to help him stay on track.

“For him to lose his life like this is mental,” a close friend said. “He was working so hard to make a go of it.”

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detectives have launched a murder investigation and are hunting the attacker. Anyone who witnessed the stabbing or has information should contact police on 101, quoting reference 6908/14DEC.
