Police issue stark warning on drink-driving
Senior Investigating Officer Sgt. Darren Brown blasted Brightman’s actions. He said:
“Our commitment to keeping roads safe is unwavering. Drink or drug driving causes unimaginable misery. It’s devastating that some still take such risks.
“The consequences rip apart lives – physically, mentally and legally. My thoughts go out to Ann Waters’ family and friends.
“Too many are complacent about the dangers of drink-driving. Our message is clear – don’t mix alcohol or drugs with driving. These substances can linger longer than you think, and the fallout can be catastrophic.”
The police warn everyone to respect road safety and think twice before getting behind the wheel after drinking.
