Teen Girl Found Dead in Calne Sparks Murder Probe
A Wiltshire murder investigation is underway after a teenage girl was found dead at a home in Calne yesterday afternoon.
Tragic Discovery on Springfield Drive
Emergency services were called to a house on Springfield Drive just before 3.15pm on Friday, May 3. Paramedics tried to save the girl at the scene but sadly she was pronounced dead.
17-Year-Old Arrested Over Murder
Police arrested a 17-year-old boy in Chippenham later the same day. He remains in custody, said Wiltshire Police.
Police Offer Support and Reassure Community
“The thoughts of everyone at Wiltshire Police are with the family of the victim at what must be a devastating time for them,” said Superintendent Conway Duncan.
“They are receiving support from specially trained officers. We launched a robust police response and this will continue over the weekend. Residents in Calne may notice a strong police presence as enquiries progress.”
