Armed response officers and response officers have this evening detained a man in Portsmouth after he thought he would spend the evening out drinking with a weapon. The man has been detained and taken into custody. Armed officers arrested the man and search was carried out and a weapon was found. The man remains in custody at Portsmouth central police station.
