Trio leave man with a broken jaw after late night attack in Guildford

Can you help us identify the three men in this video? Police in Surrey would like to speak to them in connection with a violent assault in #Guildford in September 2018 Officers are continuing to investigate the incident which took place on Tuesday, 11 September around 3am in Woodbridge Road. The victim was walking home after a night out when he was approached by three men and punched in the face, which left him needing surgery to have a metal plate inserted in his jaw. Investigating officer PC Kieran Coffey said: “The video footage highlights how just one punch can cause serious injury and have devastating consequences. Please get in touch if you have any information which could help us identify who was responsible.” Call police on 101 if you have any information. There a number of comments relating to why it took Police so long to release this video footage. This is not the first time we have appealed for people to come forward. CCTV stills of the three people we wanted to speak to in connection with this assault were released in November 2018. No one was identified as a result. All lines of enquiry have been followed up since then. The decision to release the shocking moving footage was not one we took lightly, particularly given the potential impact on the victim. While we also recognise that the assault was eight months ago, we are hoping that the video will result in someone coming forward who will provide the vital piece of information we need to bring these offenders to justice.
