Body in Wheelie Bin Identified as Italian Man in North London Horror
Detectives have named the young man found dumped in a wheelie bin behind a Waitrose in Islington. The victim is 23-year-old Italian national Erik San-Filippo.
Tragic Discovery on Tollington Road
Police were called just before 4pm on Saturday, 11 May after the grim find on Tollington Road, north London. Erik’s body was recovered from the bin, sparking a murder investigation.
Investigation Continues – Suspect Arrested
A post-mortem has been inconclusive, with further tests ongoing. The Met’s Central North Command is leading the probe. A 52-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on 12 May but has since been bailed until mid-June.
