Man Arrested at Heathrow in Terror Probe
A 29-year-old man was arrested by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command during a stop at Heathrow Airport. He was picked up on Wednesday, 22 May, after arriving on a flight from Germany.
Suspected Links to Proscribed Group
The man was held under schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act 2000 and arrested on suspicion of membership of a banned organisation, in breach of section 11 TACT 2000. He was taken into custody under PACE and moved to a south London police station.
Police Raid in North-West London
Officers also conducted a search at a north-west London address as part of the ongoing investigation. The man has since been released on police bail, with a return date set for mid-June as enquiries continue.
