Body Found in Hampstead Heath Pond After Man’s Clothes Discovered
Police rushed to Hampstead Heath at 4:25pm on Saturday, June 1, after a man’s clothing was found by the men’s bathing pond. Officers and the London Ambulance Service arrived quickly, launching a desperate search.
Intense Search Ends in Tragedy
Despite combing the pond’s surface and surrounding area with help from MPS dog units and the National Police Air Service, no sign of the man was found initially. The missing individual, a man in his mid-50s from Hampstead, was reported as disappeared.
Body Discovered Two Days Later
On Monday, June 3, officers from the Marine Support Unit recovered a body from the pond. The man’s family have been informed and are being supported by police.
Death Remains Unexplained
The case is currently being treated as unexplained, with enquiries ongoing. Police have not ruled out any possibilities as they continue their investigation.
