Man dies after being stabbed in the leg

Detectives continue to appeal for information and witnesses after the victim of a seemingly unprovoked attack on Saturday died two days later. Police were called by London Ambulance Service [LAS] at 3.09am on Saturday, 1 June, to reports of a stabbing at Seven Sisters Road, near the junction with Vartry Road. Officers and LAS attended. At the scene, a 33-year-old man had suffered a stab wound to the leg. The injured man was treated at the scene by medics before being taken to a north London hospital, where he died on Monday, 3 June. Next of kin are aware, but officers await formal identification. A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course. Detectives from North Area Command had launched an urgent investigation following the assault. The investigation will now be led by colleagues from the Homicide and Major Crime Command. There have been no arrests. Enquiries continue.
