Fatal Brockenhurst Crash: Police Hunt Witnesses After Deadly Collision
Tragedy struck Brockenhurst yesterday afternoon when a 61-year-old woman lost her life in a collision on the A337. The crash involved her Skoda Fabia and a lorry.
Woman Dies at Scene, Lorry Driver Unhurt
Police were called just after 5pm to the accident. Sadly, the woman from Sway was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family has been informed and is receiving specialist support. The lorry driver, a 53-year-old man from Gloucestershire, escaped without injury.
Key Witnesses Sought by Police
Sgt Rebecca Hodge of the Joint Roads Policing Unit urged witnesses to come forward. She said:
“We are particularly keen to speak to the drivers of two vehicles who were directly behind the collision. We understand they turned around and drove off before we arrived. We would like to speak to them as they may have information that could help with our investigation.”
