A man has been arrested and charged by officers following a vehicle pursuit

Officers from Sussex and Surrey Roads Policing received intelligence a stolen Ford Focus was travelling on the A259 in Lancing on Friday evening (June 7). Police pursued the stolen vehicle along Old Shoreham Road, onto the A283 and then to the High Tree’s roundabout in Bramber where the driver decamped from the car. Police conducted an area search and discovered a man hiding in the bushes of a nearby back garden. Oltjan Mici aged 19 of Pasture Road, Lewisham was arrested and charged with dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking, driving a vehicle which had been taken without the owner’s consent, actual bodily harm and two counts of driving while disqualified and driving without insurance. He was remanded in custody to appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Monday (June 10).
