High-Speed Chase Ends with Driver Ditching Stolen Car
Sussex and Surrey Roads Police were hot on the heels of a stolen Ford Focus on Friday evening (June 7). Alerted by intelligence, officers spotted the car speeding along the A259 in Lancing.
Thrilling Pursuit Across Roads
The chase roared down Old Shoreham Road, then zipped onto the A283 before ending at High Tree’s roundabout in Bramber. The driver bailed out and made a desperate dash on foot.
Hiding in the Bushes: Suspect Nabbed
Officers launched a swift search, soon finding a man concealed in a nearby garden bush. He was identified as 19-year-old Oltjan Mici from Pasture Road, Lewisham.

- Two counts of driving while disqualified
- Driving without insurance
Mici was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Monday (June 10).
