Man Dies After Hit by Car on A30 in Blackwater

Tragedy struck in the early hours of Saturday when a pedestrian was fatally hit on the A30 London Road, near The Royal Swan Pub in Blackwater. Police were called at around 2.42am following a collision involving a Ford C-Max and a man in his 50s.

Despite emergency efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The road remained closed until 7am while officers carried out investigations.

Driver Unharmed, Police Seek Witnesses

The driver of the Ford C-Max escaped injury and is cooperating fully with police. No arrests have been made yet.

Officers are urgently appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the man in the area beforehand to come forward. Dashcam footage from drivers in the vicinity could be crucial in piecing together what happened.
