Two Held After Man Stabbed to Death on Alton Street
Detectives have arrested two men following a brutal stabbing in East London on Saturday, 15 June. The victim, a man in his 30s, was stabbed to death on Alton Street, E14, with officers called to the scene just before 2pm.
Double Arrest in Murder Probe
A 33-year-old man was arrested in Victoria on Saturday night, just before midnight. Then, at around 5.30pm on Sunday, a 28-year-old male was also taken into custody. Both face suspicion of murder and remain held at east London police stations.
Witnesses Urged to Come Forward
“Despite the two arrests, I am keen to hear from anyone who saw two males fleeing the scene,” said Detective Chief Inspector Simon Stancombe of the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command.
“One ran towards the Docklands Light Railway at Langdon Park, the other towards Giraud Street. I believe many witnessed the attack or its immediate aftermath and may have footage on their phones. Please come forward.”
Ongoing Investigation
Police have established a crime scene and continue their inquiries, including notifying the next of kin. A post-mortem will be arranged soon.
