Serious Crash on Coastbound Carriageway Involving Blue Audi and Black Infiniti
A serious crash unfolded around 4.20pm on Tuesday 25 June 2019, hitting the coastbound carriageway. A blue Audi A4 and a black Infiniti M35h were involved. Police suspect other unidentified vehicles may have also played a part in the collision.
Man in His 60s Hurt, Air Ambulance Called
Emergency teams, including the South East Coast Ambulance Service and air ambulance, rushed to the scene. A man in his 60s was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in a critical condition.
Police Urge Witnesses and Dash Cam Owners to Step Forward
Officers are piecing together what happened. They want to hear from anyone who saw the vehicles just before the crash or who has dash cam footage from the area at the time. Drivers involved who haven’t yet spoken to police are also urged to come forward.
Carriageways Closed for Hours During Investigation
- The coastbound carriageway was shut until 10.40pm on 25 June while emergency crews and the Serious Collision Investigation Unit examined the scene.
- The Londonbound carriageway closed temporarily to allow the air ambulance to land safely.
