A27 Closed in both directions following serious collision

The A27 is currently closed in both directions from its junctions of the A284 (Arundel) to the A29 (Fontwell) in Sussex. This closure is due to a road traffic collision and Highways England has resources deployed working hard with Sussex Police to restore normal conditions as soon as possible. Diversion route details and guidance is as follows; Eastbound closure please follow the “Hollow Diamond Symbol” Eastbound diverted traffic will exit the Ford Road / Arundel Bypass roundabout and enter the north westbound A284 towards the roundabout junction with the B2139 /A29. At this junction, it will exit onto the A29 and travel south-west towards the Fontwell East roundabout where it meets the A27 and can resume. Westbound closure please follow the “Hollow Triangle Symbol” Westbound diverted traffic will exit the A27 at the Fontwell East roundabout and enter the A29 north-eastbound towards the B2139 roundabout. It will then follow the reverse of the eastbound route returning to the A27 at the Arundel bypass roundabout.
