Man charged with Beckenham murder of Diane Dyer

man has been charged by detectives investigating the murder of a woman in Beckenham. David Samuel McCorkell, 54, of Beckenham Road, Penge was arrested on Tuesday, 23 July, and charged later the day with the murder of 61-year-old Diane Dyer. He was also charged with possession of an offensive weapon and will appear in custody on Wednesday, 24 July, at Bromley Magistrates’ Court. Mrs Dyer was found unresponsive at her home in Oakwood Avenue, Beckenham on 18 July. A post-mortem examination took place on Friday, 19 July and gave the cause of death as blunt force trauma to the head and face.
