Do You Have Information On The Orpington Bus Crash? The police were called on Thursday 31st October at 10.22pm. First Responders to the scene found two buses and one car had been in a collision. There were multiple injured – paramedics treated 15 people at the scene. Three of these people have serious injuries. Tragically, a 60 year old gentleman bus driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed, and we offer every sympathy and condolence to them. The car driver, a 24 year old man, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and for driving under the influence of drugs. He also required being taken to hospital but has now been taken into police custody for questioning. The road is still closed at Sevenoaks Road where the collision took place. Detectives from the specialist Serious Collision Investigation Unit at the Metropolitan Police are leading the investigation. They want anyone with mobile phone or dash cam, or cctv video footage from the scene to get in touch with them only by calling them direct on 020 8285 1574 or calling the non emergency number for the police on 101 quoting CAD 9509/31OCT.
