Homeless Charity Scores £1,000 Cash Boost from Police!

Gravesham Sanctuary Gets Vital Funding

The Gravesham Sanctuary, a homeless charity supporting locals in need, has bagged a £1,000 windfall from the Kent Police Property Fund. The money will buy kitchen appliances for their new base, helping them whip up meals for vulnerable shelter users.

Winter Shelter Offering More Than Just a Bed

The charity runs a winter shelter and drop-in centre, giving the homeless a warm bed, hot food and drinks, showers, laundry, clothes, and help with paperwork and ID—crucial support to get people back on their feet.

Police Proud to Help

PC Zak Khan handed over the cheque to charity reps Lorna and Steve Nolan. He said, “I am delighted to present this money to the Gravesham Sanctuary. They offer a much-needed service to those facing homelessness during the harsh winter months.”

The Kent Police Property Fund is funded through sales of items seized during police operations, turning crime into community support.
