Woman Groped on London High Street: Police Release CCTV Appeal
At around 5:30am on Wednesday, 18 October 2023, a woman in her 20s was walking down a busy High Street when a man on a bike grabbed her inappropriately. As she fought him off, he pulled her closer and groped her again before cycling away towards Romford Road.
Victim Uninjured but Traumatic Incident Shakes Local Community
Thankfully, the victim was not physically hurt but was left traumatised by the ordeal. Specialist officers are providing ongoing support to help her cope with the distressing experience.
Police Hunt Man in Yellow Hoodie – Public Help Needed
Investigating Officer Sam Drury said: “No one should have to endure this sort of attack while walking the streets of London.”
“We are following several lines of inquiry to catch the man responsible. Today, we’re releasing CCTV footage of a suspect we want to speak to. Though the image isn’t crystal clear, his bright yellow hoodie might help someone recognise him.”
