North London Man Nabbed in Crackdown on Terror
Early Morning Arrest
Detectives from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command swooped on a north London address at 6am on Tuesday, 25 February. A 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of encouraging terrorism, a serious offence under Section 1 of the Terrorism Act 2006.
In Custody and Under Investigation
The suspect is currently being held at a north London police station under the Police and Crime Evidence Act (PACE). Police say enquiries are ongoing as they dig deeper into the case.
