Police are on the lookout after an 80-year-old woman had her phone stolen during a brazen robbery on a Bexley bus.
Brawl Breaks Out Over Fare – Thug Grabs Phone and Kicks Walking Stick
The shocking theft happened just after 12.30pm on Wednesday, 29 June. The victim was travelling with her husband on the Route 233 bus along Marechal Niel Parade when trouble struck.
A man jumped on the bus but refused to pay his fare. He got into a heated row with the driver and even threatened to spit at him.
Spying the elderly woman holding her phone, the thug snatched it right out of her hand. He then kicked her husband’s walking stick before storming off the bus.
