Officer Dragged 40 Feet by Speeding Car in Southgate – Walks Away with Minor Injuries

A brave police officer narrowly escaped serious injury after being dragged 40 feet by a speeding car in Southgate, north London. The TSG officer was called in to assist local cops on Wednesday, 22 July, when suspicion fell on the vehicle’s two occupants.

Chase Turns Dangerous

At around 9:45am, as the officer approached the suspicious car, the driver suddenly sped towards him. Despite being dragged along the road – with the soles of his shoes literally ripped off in the struggle – the officer managed to roll free unharmed.

Minor Injuries but Still on Duty

The officer suffered only minor bruises and grazes and was treated at a police station. Remarkably, he has remained on duty following the incident.

Police Hunt Suspects

  • Police are now searching for the two men in the vehicle, suspected of attempted grievous bodily harm.
