A suspected burglar has appeared in court following incidents in Sandwich and Deal

 

 

A suspected burglar has appeared in court following incidents in Sandwich and Deal.

 

Kent Police was contacted after a wallet, a laptop and other items were reportedly stolen from a property in Dover Road, Sandwich on Monday 13 July 2020.

 

Officers were called again after a house in Thornbridge Road, Deal was reportedly broken into and jewellery, alcohol and cash stolen on Sunday 26 July.

 

James Nevin was arrested on the same day as the second incident and has since been charged with two counts of burglary.

 

Mr Nevin, 44, of no fixed abode, appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 28 July and was remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Tuesday 25 August.
