Suspected Burglar Busted After String of Thefts in Sandwich and Deal

Police Snag Man Linked to Two Break-Ins

James Nevin, 44, has been arrested following a pair of burglaries in Kent. Officers first received a report after a wallet, laptop, and other belongings were stolen from a property on Dover Road, Sandwich, on Monday 13 July 2020.

Second Break-In in Deal Leads to Arrest

Just under two weeks later, on Sunday 26 July, police were called to another burglary on Thornbridge Road, Deal. Jewellery, alcohol, and cash were reported stolen. Nevin was arrested that very same day and charged with two counts of burglary.

Remanded and Set for Crown Court

Currently of no fixed abode, Nevin appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 28 July. He was remanded in custody and is due to face Canterbury Crown Court on Tuesday 25 August.
