Woman’s Body Found in Enfield Woodland – Death Treated as Suspicious

Detectives are on the case after a woman’s body was discovered in a wooded area of Enfield.

Police were called just before 8am on Thursday, 6 August, following reports of an unresponsive person in Burnt Farm Ride. Officers and the London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene, but the woman was pronounced dead at once.

Man Arrested and Released, Police Appeal for Information

A man was initially arrested in connection with the investigation but has since been released under investigation.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be confirmed as police work to inform her next of kin. A post-mortem exam will be carried out soon to determine the cause of death.

Specialist Crime Command Leads Probe, Crime Scene Secured

  • Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are leading the inquiry.
  • Support is being provided by the North Area Command Unit.
  • A crime scene remains in place as enquiries continue.
