A county lines drug dealer has been locked up following a crackdown on drug supply in Dover.

London Man Nabbed in Dover Sting

Showayne Thompson, 24, from Chichele Road, London, was caught and charged amid a major operation targeting local drug networks.

He was first arrested on 14 April 2020. Police examined his phone and uncovered links to a county lines drug dealing ring operating in Dover.

Three Years Behind Bars for Class A Conspiracy

Thompson faced Canterbury Crown Court on 21 July 2020 and admitted three counts of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

He was sentenced to three years and two months in prison, sending a stark warning to traffickers.

Police Vow to Keep Pressure On Drug Gangs

Detective Constable Glenn Blanchard, Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: “This sentence sends out the message that significant sentences await those who prey on the vulnerable in Kent.”

“We will continue to clamp down on the county lines groups who sow misery in our communities by arresting anyone we suspect of involvement and seeking their prosecution.”
