Teen Girl Sexually Assaulted at Thatcham Skatepark
Police are hunting witnesses after a shocking sexual assault at Thatcham’s Chapel Street skatepark.
The attack happened around 3.55pm last Sunday (20/9), when two teenage boys targeted a young girl. They pulled her hair, touched her inappropriately, and made lewd comments. One of the boys brandished a knife to intimidate her.
Victim Unharmed but Police Urge Public for Help
Thankfully, the girl didn’t suffer any injuries and didn’t need hospital treatment. But police say this was a serious incident.
“Thames Valley Police is conducting a thorough investigation into this serious incident and have already made two arrests,” said PC Jessica Lister from Newbury police station.
“We need the public’s help to crack this case. The assault happened during the day when others might have seen something.”
“If you witnessed anything or have information, please come forward.”
Two Teens Arrested, Police Still Need Witnesses
- Two boys aged 14 and 15, both with no fixed address, were arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.
- They have been released on bail until 18 October.
