Twitter suffered a major outage, leaving more than 55,000 users unable to access the social network, according to Downdetector.com. The tech giant admitted the platform was down for many, blaming “some trouble” with internal systems.

Twitter quickly tweeted that engineers were on the case, assuring users there was no sign of a hack or security breach. “We are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible,” the statement read.
Not the First Time Twitter’s Internal Systems Have Been Shaky
This latest disruption follows a high-profile breach in July. Hackers famously hijacked accounts of major figures like US presidential hopeful Joe Biden and celeb Kim Kardashian, using their platforms to scam followers out of digital currency.
For now, fingers are crossed that this outage is just a blip and not another cybersecurity disaster waiting to happen.
