Woman with Learning Disabilities Raped in Bournemouth
A shocking attack unfolded on Thursday, 10 October 2019, when a woman with learning disabilities met a man in Boscombe, Bournemouth. They travelled together by bus to the man’s home in Somerford, where the woman reports she was raped.
The victim bravely came forward on Saturday, 12 October 2019, to report the assault.
Police Hunt Man Seen Talking to Victim on Day of Attack
Detective Constable Jordan Curtis of Bournemouth CID revealed that Dorset Police have conducted extensive enquiries to find the suspect and his address—so far, without success.
“I have identified a man who spoke to the woman on the day of the incident and I’m keen to identify him as he may hold vital information for the investigation,” said DC Curtis.
He added: “This happened some time ago, but we owe it to the victim to follow every lead. We urge anyone who recognises this man to come forward.”
