Newbury Youth Assaulted and Hospitalised After Skate Park Attack

19-Year-Old Assaulted in Victoria Park

A 19-year-old man was viciously attacked behind Newbury’s skate park between 7pm and 8pm last Thursday (5/11). While walking with a friend in Victoria Park, the victim was suddenly dragged away by an offender.

Brutal Beating Leaves Victim Injured

The attacker punched and kicked the young man multiple times in the head and back, leaving him with cuts and bruises. The victim needed hospital treatment but has since been discharged.

Suspect Arrested But Released on Bail

Police arrested a 19-year-old man from Newbury in connection with the assault. He has been released on police bail and remains under investigation.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Susan Bradshaw, lead investigator at Newbury police station, urged the public to come forward. She said:

“While this incident is concerning, we believe it’s an isolated attack between individuals who know each other. Anyone with information should contact us.”
