On Tuesday 13 October just before 6pm, a man approached a member of rail staff and asked for assistance with his Oyster card. Noticing he was not wearing a face covering, the staff member asked him to put one on before she could assist him.

The man refused to put on a face covering and started shouting at the member of staff before entering a station shop. The man then emerged from the shop and again spoke to the staff member, during which he racially abused her.
